Get to know me
I am a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where I earned my BFA in Drama. A passionate artist with an affinity for the academic, I have worked as a professional tutor for 10 years. For the last 3, I've specialized in Test Prep with StudyPoint, Inc, where I've gained over 2,500 hours of test prep experience with the SAT and ACT. This exhaustive experience has enabled me to see the "puzzle" behind these tests: the predictable network of patterns, traps, strategies, and intimidation tactics inherent to every exam. Whether you're just trying to get a foothold or are looking for that perfect score, I can help you master the puzzle that underpins these complicated tests so you can reach your score goals.
I am experienced in teaching high school math, specializing in fluency and SAT/ACT-specific concepts. I am also a passionate grammarian with a love of writing, TV, and theater; I have taught English in Buenos Aires, Argentina and worked in theater administration in Barcelona, Spain.
I am a down-to-earth and flexible teacher and aim to create a space (even virtually!) that is collaborative and engaging, where students feel comfortable asking questions and can gain confidence in their test-taking abilities. As an NYU grad, I understand how essential test prep is in furthering students' education; however, I also appreciate that every student has a passion, one that likely lies outside the bounds of standardized testing, and I am committed to making connections with students with those diverse passions in mind.
